I have a Mk4 diesel with a dead cluster, I’ve sent it to the auto electricians whom I now cannot get in touch with. Can I buy a used cluster and get a reputable garage/auto electrician to program the cluster in without the old one? 

Im not fussed about the mileage being correct, it’s an 11 year old car.
