Urgent advice needed, unsure if the problem is the boot latch or a solenoid or something else completely 

My vehicle is an 08 focus mk2. The video here is the same problem someone else had on YouTube. Thanks

    Have you maybe not closed it properly and tried pushing it down? Sometimes they can sit half in and appear to be closed but won't open either.

    Thanks for the reply mate. Yeah I've tried that and I can't see anything interfering/jammed into the mechanism. There's nothing to open the boot inside the car either
