Picked up a nice second hand SMax and find we can’t lower the near side back seat.there is no give in the pull ribbon at all. Has anyone any clues as to how to get inside the seat to sort out the mechanics please. Thank you this is the very back seat, not the middle row.

    Have you had a look under the seat, to check nothing is jamming any  the mechanisms. Either something in jamming the mech from opening or it’s being jammed in the closed position. Flip the middle row seat up, to give you access to the rear seat.
