So my MK 4 Mondeo 2.0 ecoboost 240bhp has thrown up two fault code and had a little trouble starting only first thing in the morning. It also has slight inconsistency in power delivery. Codes are P000a and P000b. A Ford tech has just told me as it’s jut hit 82000 miles it probably need a new timing kit/chain. This is an expensive option! Does anyone know how often these need to be done? There is no rattle from the chain and no EML on!
