Heard the sad news that one of the greatest sports commentators has passed away today aged 97. 

Murray walker was a legend. His style of commenting on F1 races and other motorsports was second to none. 
Many of us grew up listening to his commentary on F1.
He can never be replaced. 

His memory will live on for me as I still have 2 F1 games from the original PlayStation with his commentary on.

    Sad news indeed. I got as much enjoyment from listening to his commentary as I did from watching the actual race. He was a true Gent and a professional.

    I have been dreading the day I read this. A true Motorsport Legend has gone. I met and spoke to him at Lydden Hill in 2009 where he was commentating on the European Rallycross event there. I bought one of his books which he wonderfully signed. It was a great pleasure. F1 and other Motorsports will not be the same without him.

    Yes sad news, he loved his job so much, that after he retired he even commentated to himself on races while he was at home watching the tv

    Yet another old school true gentleman has passed, they don't make them like that anymore!
