New Baffle noise (not exhaust)

My 2017 Mondeo Vignali, 2.0TD, Auto box,  is on 58k miles.  It has in the last 4 weeks started making a baffle noise which is slowly getting louder. The noise sounds like the baffles have gone. The noise is only when in drive and moving.

Two exhaust centers have checked and confirmed the exhaust is OK.

On advise I was told to replace the air filter.

But now I'm stuck, anyone out there who knows what this is?
