Cluster panel on an 2006 S-Max

Hi, I have been following several online video instructions on removing the instrument cluster on a 2006  Ford  S-Max.

They all say that the panel beneath the instrument just pulls out. No such luck with my mine. Try as I might I cannot get the plastic piece in front of the S-max instrument cluster to slide out. Are some different as I just cannot get my plastic panel to budge. It's driving me nuts!!  Does anyone know if there any hidden screws or catches I need to know about?

Fingers crossed  - hopefully  someone else has come across this problem before.
