Hi Amarjit

Did you find out the answer to this ?

I have the same problem.

I have a Ford Focus Mk3 Titanium X 1.6 Ecoboost with a faulty Visteon BM51-13D145-BG xenon O/S headlight and I can't seem to find an exact match and don't know what changes the last two letters signify. It has a new D3S 66340 xenon bulb in it

The last 2 letters denote the engineering variant and its change level.

So for your lamp you need suffix starting with B then ideally same or higher second letter. In theory an older level part i.e BF etc may also be ok but usually better to aim for same suffix or a newer level

I have also been struggling to find one, so my one ends in BE and have seen one for sale ending DG, so this should be fine for my car? Thanks

No!!!

It has to end "B?"

The '?' can be the letter E, or higher like F, G, H, J, K

In simple terms the prefix of the Ford part number relates to the model year/vehicle line headlamp was introduced at. The centre part relates to what the part is, this case an offside headlamp.

The suffix is the part derivative/variant and its engineering change level which starts at A and goes up each time an engineering change is made.

So the start of the suffix will be different for Adaptive lamps, Xenon, Halogen, LHD, RHD, silver or black bezels etc. The D level part be a totally different lamp to the B type you need.
