Powershift problems

Featured Replies

I heard that Powershift warranty now is 5 years. I have Ford galaxy 2.0 TDCI Auto 2013. When I bought it it was 3 years Gearbox warranty. I explain shortly all the problems I have had with Powershift Gearbox.

Immediately after few months started complaining about Gearbox not changing properly gears. Then Juddering started. Constant complains on deaf ears. Just almost by the end of warranty they decided to change the clutch . On the fourth and half years of vehicles life Gearbox failed. Warranty expired by then. Ford made me pay £2257 for new Gearbox as a Gesture of Goodwill 50% Discount. All the complaints from the beginning ending with hefty payment. Full Service History with Ford and only 41000 Miles on the clock.

Ombudsman didn't help either.

Do you think that this 5 years warranty change will apply for my vehicle too.

Juddering is back again. Only 61.000 Miles NOW on the clock.
