Hi first time posting. I have recently bought a 07 plate s max tdci 1.8 I had coolent loss so replaced expansion tank along with thermostat and housing the trouble i have is cant find the correct size thermostat for the car every shop i go to including ford give me ones that are to small i bought a kit off amazon with thermostat included but pipe from housing not getting hot and car overheating so want to swap with good make i have just had pump and belts swapped aswel I'm hoping someone else managed to find correct size thank you

    Sounds like you have the wrong thermostat housing fitted

    Hi I need one about 35mm but everyone i buy is 32mm I thought could be the housing but I have had 2 now as I bought the second as a complete unit with thermostat after I could get the right size after buying just the housing and they the same might have to pop to car parts shop and measure there housing cheers.
