Anyone had the following fault code before on a 1.6 tdci - P1261 Cylinder 1 High to Low Side Short?

Engine shuddering like a bus and in limp mode since driving home on the motorway.

Injector fail by the sounds of it

This is definitely an injector fault. Just had one go on mine. Exact same symptoms except my DTC was cylinder 3. The injector is around £200. Garage charged me just over an hour labour for diagnostic and then fit. 

Can easily be fitted yourself. 

If you do change the injector yourself, and no reason why not. Just remember that you will need to put the new calibration figure in using ForScan.

hi there i have same issue with my mazda 5 2011 its the same engine as the ford 1.6 tdci 

when in limp mode the engine shudders and only goes upto 2000 revs but the strange thing is its only happened 2-3 times (once on the motorway and twice locally) and when i turn the engine off and on again its totally fine and drives no problem... so i plugged in forscan while in limp mode and it came with the exact same error P1261 Cylinder 1 High to Low Side Short 

i want to replace the injector myself but im not sure how to calibrate it in forscan 

i want to also see if anyone else has had same issue as mine where it happens randomly
