2009 Ford Focus 1.8tdci s won’t start. Transmission/engine malfunction

Featured Replies

Hi all

my sons 2009 focus stopped the other day. When you switch the ignition lights on it registers up transmission malfunction, engine malfunction and steering malfunction.
I have repaired the cluster plug on the back of clocks. This still hasn’t fixed my issue.
1 minute it will turn over but won’t start, the next it doesn’t even turn over.
when it is turning over it sounds like the fuel pump isn’t engaged.

on the blink test it is showing up 16, which Ive been told is the CAN bus not working.
is this the case or am I being mugged of for an expensive repair.

is there anything I should be looking for now.

TIA
