My son's Mondeo lost all power driving down the A3 to Portsmouth. No warning lights eg Temperature, Oil etc., or  any degradation in performance. Luckily my daughter in law was able to glide it into the hard shoulder for safety. 

The garage have said the engine is 'wrapped', the water pump is 'jammed' and the head is 'cooked' and the gasket is blown?

Still not sure what's wrong but they have suggested getting a new cylinder head? I've tried searching the internet for new or reconditioned cylinder heads, including Ford Spare Parts, but apart from some dubious looking reconditioned heads I can't find any.

Are there any specialist Ford Parts suppliers or Engineers who provide these parts?

    Do you mean 'warped'? 

    What engine, what model, diesel or petrol? Need  more info. Sounds like an expensive repair... Can you trust the garage?  Might be better to consider part exchanging it and cutting your losses, tbh.... Labour charges can escalate with no guarantee of success.
