2015 Fiesta 1.0 ecoboost losing power as if going into limp mode

Featured Replies

My Ford Fiesta Zetec S 1.0 ecoboost is losing power whilst accelerating. No lights are appearing on the dash, we’ve checked a pipe from the intercooler and changed as was split (we thought it was sensing the heating up of the engine/turbo to be falsely overheating) that worked temporarily. The loss of power comes after accelerating to around 3k revs shortly after starting the car, almost like a limp mode. When I turn the car off for a few seconds and back on again, it will be fine until accelerating again. Nothing is showing on the diagnostic test & everything seems to be okay. Been serviced this week & that hasn’t changed anything either.

Have you checked all hoses for boost leaks  and high pitched hissing, 3 to 4 k is where the turbo is peaking when foot to floor, when my turbo hard pipe was loose I never got any codes just a noise and no power between 3 to 5 k

a boost leak effects these cars quite badly, maybe a smoke test to confirm all is ok 👍
