2010 Mondeo 2.0 tdci squeeking passenger side suspension

Featured Replies

Hi

I've owned this 2010 Mondeo 2.0 tdci for a couple of weeks now and have a squeek coming from the passenger side front suspension

Seems to be happening when I hit slight bumps in the road .

Have had a look underneath and can't see anything wrong with balljoints , track rod ends etc

Just the front strut is starting to weep and when I lifted the protective shroud a half moon shape piece of rubber fell out not sure whether it came from around the top of the damper or if it's part of the top mount ?

Any advice would be appreciated as it's driving me mad

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a squeaky Ford trait. Not front suspension, but a rear squeaking on my 2008 titanium x and suspect rear trailing arm Bush drying out and worn(as these were an advisory on the last mot).

Could very well be the top mount on the strut that is failing, bits of rubber falling off can never be a good thing......., right..???

Definitely sounds like it's coming from the front and looks like the bump stop is deteriorated as there one semi circle piece of rubber that was wet aswell looks like the shock has seen better days tbh
