Seta belt adjustment issue

Morning all,
Just picked up my lovely Titanium 2.0 TDCI and i am buggered if i can get the height of the seat belt adjusters to move.
They seem to be stuck in the highest position which results in the belt trying to remove a chunk of my neck whilst driving 😆
Tried the slightly lifting up before pulling the adjuster down but nope, won't budge.
Any tips please folks ?
