I've read somewhere this can be turned off, I actually find it a little annoying.

    If you are referring to the gear change up indicator it is now a "required" feature on UK cars as it is going to save the planet 🌏 

    As far as I know it can't be disabled other than take the instrument cluster out, dismantle it put some black tape over the LED and put it all back together.

    Not a major issue, maybe I read the post of a MK3 focus.

    I think it is only in the last couple of years the option to turn it off has been removed, or maybe it is hidden away with the ability to turn off the Stop/Start system (I would love to get rid of that).

    Thanks for that, first thing I do is turn off the stop/ start, not so good for the environment I guess.
