YUASA BATTERY FAILURE

Featured Replies

Failed battery after 2.5 years with a 5 yr guarantee from Halfords.£15 for fitting a replacement🤔Nope not paying.I asked if I could use a couple of tools to take the old battery out, answer; no ,we can’t on health and safety grounds.Luckily I had my Noco battery starter in the boot so had to return home, a 7 mile trip for my own tools. If i didn’t have my battery starter on me than I would’ve had to stump up the £15 because they also said no to a jump start.

Am i asking for too much as a customer? If it was me I would go the extra mile for a customer to be happy, seems not at Halfords👍

Did the battery fail in Halfords car park?  What are the chances of that lol!

Tool lending and jump starts will be a liability issue.  Can't do anything nowadays without questioning if there could be any damage or injury that the customer could sue you for...

Why not sign a form to protect them.I know it’s red tape but it would of saved selfish me an extra  trip😁

Should have just bought the tools, done the battery swap and take the tools back for a refund 🤣 you need to think outside the box and play them at their own game !

Sounds like manual handling which they may not be certified to do, could cause themselves an injury! :whistling:

At the time most were on a lunch break.I don’t think the 60 year woman serving would of been up for it.But if I had asked politely maybe I could of got her behind the steering wheel with me pushing.😀
