I have just bought a 2021 Focus Titanium X 8 speed auto.

There is one feature that does not seem to work and that is collision assist with breaking.

Now I have tried this out with large boxes thrown into the path of the vvehicle and it just run over them. I have come up behind other vehicles really close and nothing.

Has anyone had any expriance with this issue.

By the way I have been through all the menus to set it up.

    I think you’ve done what a lot of owners have been meaning to test! Re throwing boxes in front etc. 
    Collision “assist “ can’t be right lol . Avoidance surely. 
    did you switch it to high sensitivity b4 your experiment?

    Works when I try to run over or drive into work colleagues. 😂😂😂. It certainly detects humans in the way . And detects large recyclable waste bins. Haven't tried general waste bin. . May not like that and crash into it😂😂😂

    Sounds to me like you may have "Collision Assist" and it's working perfectly. How many boxes did it kill ? 🤣

    i have ford focus st line edition 20 plate done 9000 miles and itsbeen back tot he garage 5 times in the last 12 weeks  due to this fault got it back last friday and hey guess what it still dosent work along with lane keeping aid 

    not sure what else to do with the dam car now to be honest and trying to book into a local ford garage is a two week wait  for a appointment 

    is it because there cars are rubbish these days as its all i driven for the last 30yrs ? 

     

    Ring Ford and tell them and see if they are any help at all dont expect a quick response due to covid  but they will support you 

     

    Meanwhile im selling mine as it just an impossible situation
