2008 s max no crank no start

i have a friend with a 2008 s max petrol that will not crank. i established that the starter relay is not grounding though the pcm. i have introduced a independent ground to the relay witch enabled the key to activate the starter motor. however still not firing the cylinders. i am assuming that what ever is disabling the the ground to the starter relay is all so inhibiting ignition and or fuel injection. can any one help me with a wire diagram and pin data to and from the pcm

any help would be grate
