MK4 Focus power train light

Hi, having problems with a MK4 focus-titanium-1-0-125-ps, the orange spanner (power train warning) light comes on very intermittently associated with loss of power. The car is 26 months old and has been returned to the Ford dealer twice before for the same problem - each time they say no problems were found. I have booked the car in again but they want to charge me £130 for diagnostic checks this time, the car has only done 3500 miles since purchase 2 years ago.
