Hi All,

Developed this recent fault lately.. instrument cluster flickers and indicators do not make a noise as well.

Video probably is a better explaination. Any thoughts please?

    Quite a common problem on cars from 2001 - 2012 as a friend of mine on these froums would tell you its caused by 'Tree Huggers' 🤣

    The solder on the back of the instrument cluster is of the new save the planet type (no lead) and fails as it gets older causing lots of dry joints. You need to remove the IC and then resolder all the joints. There are people on eBay who advertise this service for about £70

    Thanks for the response. I was hoping it was going to be a simple fix. Hate solder jobs. I am sure people on this forum have used people in the past, any recommendations? I'd rather use someone a member has already used..

    As unofix said, use the guys on Ebay, we did my brother's about 6 months ago, no problems since.

    It's not an easy job to attempt yourself as you have to remove and refit the needles
