Mondeo mk4 Locking & Window Issues

Featured Replies

Hi all. I've got a 2010 Mondeo TDCi with an intermittent problem with the passenger side locks and windows. Occasionally both passenger doors won't lock or unlock either remotely or with the key placed in the lock, and the electric windows will only work using the passenger side controls.

I've now encountered a problem with the doors failing to unlock manually from the inside, as the lock buttons appear to be jammed in the lock position. I've tried moving them by hand to the unlocked position but neither that or pulling the door handle from the inside will open either of the passenger doors.

Has anyone else experienced either of these issues, and if so, could they advise what the potential issues/fix are?

The issues are only ever on the passenger side, with the drivers side remaining fine.

Thanks.

I've got the same problem with my '10 plate 140 tdci so look forward to any information on where to look for faults.
