Mk4 mondeo 2 brake pedal switches

Featured Replies

I have a 2008 mk4 mondeo with fault code P1571 brake switch. I have looked at pedal and there seems to be a blue switch and black one. Does anyone know which switch does what and which one should I change.Brake lights are working fine but cruise control has stopped working.

Sorry, don't  know , BUT, you can probably work it out by elimination. Disconnect each one in turn until you find that the brake lights stop working, then you know that the last one you disconnected is the one for the brake lights.

That’s a good point I didn’t think of that. I’ll have a look in the morning and see what happens thank you
