Focus mk3 2014 error code, what the foggy does it mean

Featured Replies

Hello all,
Strange one, when its sunny and say 19 degrees C. Out in the car eventually going up hills the car seems to hit a wall and the car refuses to go up the revs.

As a result of this engine stuffing, wall I have to really work the gearbox to get the damn thing going.

Is it a case of a lot of hot air getting into the engine instead of nice coolish air?

Feels like the engine rained itself in.
Does that make any sense?

I know with it being the 1L ecoboost its not going to be an RS going up hills and understand that but big difference eventually when on the move.

I’ve now found error code -

Anyone come across the error code P132P? (ForScan error code result)

Turbo charger/supercharger boost control A Performance?

I had this same code last year and I replaced the boost solenoid. £112 part from Ford?!

TIA

Definition:
Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control A Performance

Description:
This DTC sets when the difference between the actual manifold absolute pressure (MAP) value and the desired MAP value is greater than a calibrated threshold when the monitor runs at engine idle.

This basically means that the MAP sensor does not measure the amount of boost that is requested/controlled by the PCM. There are several things that can cause this DTC code. For example:

* Defective MAP sensor.
* Turbocharger damage.
* Defective turbocharger wastegate valve.
* Defective vacuum pump (the wastegate is vacuum controlled).
* Defective vacuum hoses.
* Defective boost solenoid.

Further diagnostics and investigation is required to find the cause.
