Service required message

Featured Replies

How often should a service required message show up on a Mk3.5 1.0 125 Ecoboost and is it based on mileage, length of time since previous service / reset or both? Cheers

Service intervals are 1 year or 12,500 miles. The service light is based off whatever occurs first after the reset. 👍

Cheers for the info 👍 The reason asked was because the message has never come up, even though it is 2 years since the car was serviced. I know I shouldn't have left it that long due to the oil deteriorating but I've hardly used it, 6000 miles in that time. I've finally booked it in for a service this week, 169 quid! 😱

No worries, if it shows "engine service now" message then it could be an actual fault with the engine, the dealer you're taking it to should be able to tell you though. £169 is cheap! There aren't many places cheaper than that around where I live.
