(2011) Ford focus titanium eco boost Cruise control not working

Featured Replies

Hi, My cruise control will not come on when pressing the on and off button. I have checked the fuse box under the glove box and the fuse seemed fine, there are no fuses installed in the engine fuse box for cruise control. My manual says “adaptive cruise control” however i don't have this, i have the standard cruise control. Any ideas, please help

Do your brake lights permanently stay on when the vehicle is running? Give your pedal a good press and go and take a look, if they stay on your brake pedal switch has most likely failed, if this is the case the cruise control will not work for safety reasons

Hi, Thank you for your reply, Everything if fine with the brake lights. I press the brake and they only switch on when pressed. Any other ideas what it could be?

It could be the steering wheel control switches, I have replaced a few.

Possibly dirt in the switch or the switch has gone down, or, as mentioned, brake or clutch pedal sensor gone down.

Or the car doesn't have cruise control but has had the switch fitted?????????
