Mk3 Matrix Heater Pipe Clips

Featured Replies

Hi all,

New here and I'm hoping I have picked the correct place to post this

I have a mk3 focus, and realised that the clips on the heater core pipes are leaking, I found out its due to the o rings perishing. I've ordered a set of clips with o rings but the clips that have been delivered (attached image) are completely rigid and have no flex in them

Has anyone done this before? Do I just need to heat the clips in boiling water to soften them up before bending the centre strip to attach the clips around the pipe? I have emailed the seller to ask but I've had no response

Not sure mate because I don't think they are genuine Ford parts.  The genuine parts just bend as you would expect, without needing to be heated up etc.
