Focus parking sensors??

Featured Replies

EeHi

Can anyone tell me if my 2011 focus zetec has parking sensors please. I have had my car for over 2 years and I thought that it just didn't have them but I now realise that older models do as do 2012 basic specs models.

Do I have them and they just aren't working?

Many thanks

Jay

If you have them you will see four sensors in the rear bumper.

If you don't, you won't

Where did you get that information from?  Parking sensors weren't even standard on Titanium in 2012.  Many were specced with the optional City Pack though, rear park pilot & powerfold mirrors.

Hi,

My niece now has a pre owned 2007 focus with parking sensors, maybe not factory fitted and our 2012 estate pool car, more basic that my zetec, only judging bi the interior, has FF sensors that even show up a pic in the info display.

This is what confused me, which is quite easily done 😂

Lol, fair enough!  They were optional on the Mk2s back in 2007 so could easily have been factory fitted.  Don't think they were standard on any trims though, not even the Ghia.  Mk3 Estate pool car sounds like either a Studio or Style trim so Park Pilot will have been optional on that too.  Park pilot is the car screen display btw, Park Assist was also an option on the Mk3s from 2011, where the car parks itself!

Thank you for your help, I am no longer confused and continue to believe that mine doesn't have them 🙏😁.

Any ideas on roughly how much to have fitted please, maybe even the parking pilot... That's pretty cool on our pool car 😎😁

You could get a 2nd hand bumper with the sensors in and a PAM and all the wiring should be there

Too many variables to guess at fitting prices really.  As above though, if you can find a decent used bumper in the correct colour that's probably the most effective way to go.

The alternative is to have an aftermarket kit fitted such as the Xtrons kit.  They can be bought for under £50 and easy enough to fit yourself.  That would only be audible though, no screen display.
