Hi everyone! im new here.

Im looking to change my car and came across a 15 plate focus zetec s 1.6 tdci with 37k on the clock and fsh. I was hoping if anyone could share their opinions/experiences they've had with this car... things to look out for, common faults etc... any advice would be greatly appreciated!

They're great cars, my fiancee had a 65 plate one (engine changed to a 1.5tdci but basically exactly the same). Never had any issues with it.

Common problems are;

1. The door seals come off... All the time.      2. The EGR valves can sometimes stick and cause a fault.                                                   3. Front springs are quite common to snap but not expensive to replace.                         4. Parcle shelf clips break quite easily but again not expensive to replace.                      5. The GPS antenna is prone to faulting (not to worry if you don't have nav)

That's all I can really think of at the moment. 🤔

Sounds like similar issues with my fiesta.... especially springs and parcel shelf clips 😆 thanks for the heads up... planning to take a look at it tomorrow/Thursday so fingers crossed all is well
