Hi All,

My Dad has a 2014 64 plate Ford Focus with just over 82,000 miles , it suffered catastrophic clutch/gearbox damage. The clutch diaphragm fin detached and the gearbox ended up with two holes in it.   He has put a second hand gearbox in it along with a new clutch kit from Ford.  The car will not start now, he thinks it is either the clutch safety sensor, starter motor, starter motor relay, bad earth or ground, or could it be a bad car battery?  I pulled the following codes which are as follows

P086B:1E-2C Neutral Position Sensor circuit range/performance

P08AE:00-2C Neutral Position Sensor B circuit range/performance

P086D:002C Neutral Position Sensor circuit high

P08B0:00-2C Neutral Position Sensor B circuit high

P086B:38-2C Neutral Position Sensor circuit range/performance

P08AE:38-2C Neutral Position Sensor B circuit range/performance

P086A:00-2C Neutral Position Sensor circuit open 

 

He is also getting the following warning on the dash "Ford KeyFree switch ignition off press power" is this related also?

 

I have attached pictures of the damage caused.

 

Any help/advice would be greatly welcomed.
