One connection not there for j fuse

Featured Replies

Have noticed that one side where I want to put a j fuse in the metal part you connect it to is not there. This part in fuse box powers the rear 12v accessory socket in boot of my focus estate. So is it possible to take fuse box apart to rectify this problem.

Hi Dave, so the problem continues 🙄

I note that the space above fuse 25 has both the supply and load terminals fitted but there is no fuse. Because of Ford's continius modifications and changes it might be worth trying the fuse in that location, which on a UK car should not even have the terminals fitted unless it has a factory towbar and wiring.

Oh know they joys of buying secondhand cars. Will try fuse in that space and see if it works

No tow bar fitted so it’s worth a try

It kind of looks that way. Have you tested the pin/connector in the fuse box that should have been for the 12V socket ? If you find it is live (maybe only with ignition on) then I would just run a wire from that to the socket and fit your own in-line fuse holder.
