please help- pulley tensioner replaced by garage and rubbing on belt !

Featured Replies

Hi all

i'd appreciate any advice please see the pic ,

my mondeo had a major rattle , the alternator belt tensioner was replaced ( i thought they where replacing thew whole lot of pulleys but it turns out not ! )

now it has a intermittent rattle

this on is on my mk3 mondeo 2.2 TDCI they are saying that a faulty air con pulley may be causing it as the rattle gets louder when its on

i cant see how that would cause the belt to be so far over rubbing away the new pulley, they say they used quality parts

hoping someone can advise

thanks

Hi can't help at the mo as mine is in bits so can't show any comparison pics, but if you ask on the www.talkford.com forum, there is a dedicated mondeo mk3 diesel section where you can ask for advice.... Good luck!
