Hi just wandering if there is much adjustment on the estate tailgate as it’s gradually getting worse was fine when I first bought it 5 years ago

No idea myself with Mondeo estate but all boots if slammed down will over time shift the actual boot latch, making it harder & harder to shut, so you slam it - slam it - slam it... until it's a swine to close properly,  look for telltale signs of its original placement, loosen it off and try to see the original position.

Was told by the body shop that I use that if you have to slam a door, tailgate or bonnet to shut them then there is something wrong with them and they need looking at, so anyone slamming anything on my car's have always been told so, my favourite saying is put your hand in the door jam and I will slam the door shut but funnily enough I have had no takers yet. 😈
