Interior light issue?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

i have searched the forums and cant seem to find anything similar to the issue I'm having although I'm sure its very common.

the interior lights in my Mondeo don't seam to come on when the car is unlocked or the doors are opened, the button for turning all the lights on and the button for the open door function seam to work but when you turn on the reading lights they work front and back. i was wondering is this a fuse or is it a case of needing a new light module in the front.

any help would be great thanks.

Wow very helpful

this forum is 😐

not everyone is online all the time, give people a chance to answer and perhaps someone will come through

I didn't realise Yoda drove a Mondeo.

If you want a quick answer, you're better off with Facebook...if you want a correct answer though, probably better to check back here over a couple of days.

Bump

If the lights are working the fuse is fine, I'd suspect the front interior light is faulty like you suggested as this gives the command to the other interior lights

Thanks for response mate, I have since changed to light unit out and still having the same problem? I am lost 😐

Do you have an option menu for lighting anywhere on your cluster? I remember some cars have an option to turn courtesy lights on or off in a seperate setting 🤔

If not it's going to be tracing command signals back to the BCM
