Fiesta MK8: Wiring scheme glovebox light?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I wonder where the wires are attached for the glovebox light in a Fiesta MK8?

I have a ST, but those light is gone, I bought the unit at dealership and the connector with wire at Latvia (almost here).

But I wonder where this wire is attached, which fuse and such...

So if anybody can help me with wiring scheme, they would be very helpfull!

Thanks in advance!

I think I found them, but can somebody explain them to me?

Is the connection on the left on the second drawing and if you then look at the second drawing at the top, you must follow the letter E until drawing 1

If you bough the switch and can't find the wire,  then i suggest just wire the switch directly with the + going to the fusebox (might want to use a fusetap and select a fuse that is relevant to the glovebox light coming on) and fasten the - to a metal part of the body.  It is easier than trying to figure out the wiring diagram and or causing some electrical damage if you did it wrong.

You're lucky that you the factory has equipped the car with this feature.  I had to improvise and do my own custom glovebox lighting.

how dit you make it blue?

The factory version was orange. I actually took out the housing for the LED which was attached to the lighted piece from behind the glove box and then took the tiny LED board out and just replaced it with a 3mm LED with my choice of ice blue colour. It's a little technical to explain, but actually very simple.
