Iv got a green connector behind the bumper near the bonnet release catch not contacted to anything taped up has anyone got any ideas what it should be connected too please

    No idea, but since the car has managed to live without it being connected for 10 years I would say its safe to say it doesn't need it.

    It could be for front parking sensors, but thats just a guess
