Driver seat of my Ford s-Max doesn't go as far as passenger seat

Featured Replies

Hi,

We purchased a 2012 Ford s-max titanium today and all is great, besides the fact that it seems the driver seat doesn't move nearly as far forward as the passenger seat. Is that normal? I am an average 5 ft 6 tall and I need to move the seat up all the way, so that I am nearly bumping my head to reach the pedals. I have tried moving all the back and then forward again. I have tried hight and front adjustment at the same time and pushed and prodded the buttons in about every direction 🙂 so I am really starting to doubt if this car is for me or just for my (considerably taller) husband?

Greateful for any advice!

Is there anything caught in the seat runner causing it to not move properly ?

My wife is 5’ 1 and she drives our s max without issue
