Receiver

Featured Replies

The fob on my Mondeo Mk2 has not worked for some time. All locks work as they should with key but not 'on the button'.

I have replaced key but still inop'.

My guess is a fault with the receiver. Does anyone know where this is ?

Of course if you know better ...

Have a look on this Web site at the bit about programing RCL key fobs in case yours just needs reprogramming.

Very good site. But, I'm afraid the key programming advice did not work  😒

Anyone have further suggestion why fob does not work ? Also just realised, maybe connected, that the physical button does not open boot, I have to turn key.

Has it got a known good battery in it....also, sometimes it's easy to incorrectly fit the battery.... worth checking that.

Check fuse F14 for the receiver

Check fuse F11 for the boot lock button

If both are OK check the BCM for signs of water damage. Take the plugs out and check the pins for signs of corrosion.
