Rusty coloured water on Bonnet

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction so I can solve an issue with my faithful car, which is a 2007 Ford Focus Estate MK2,  I have had it for nearly 12 years now with over a 200k on the clock.  I seem to be getting traces of rusty coloured water left on my bonnet after using the front windscreen washer jets.

The rusty coloured water is only coming out of the front two bonnet jets not the rear which is clean and working fine.

I did read somewhere about using some Spring Load Check Valves, no idea what they are or how they would fit or work.

Do any of you have any idea what the cause maybe and how to solve it?

Many thanks in advance to all replies.

I missed saying what car I own within the written text.

The water reservoir supplies both front & rear, so if rear is clear, I would narrow it down to the washer nozzles themselves. Buy replacements on Ebay for less than £5/pair.

It was the nozzles, thank you 🙂
