Fob not always locking

Hi all,

I have a 2013 Ford Focus Titanium X with push button start but no keyless entry. 
i have noticed that when going to lock the car sometimes it’ll take a few presses of the fob to get it locking, however it doesn’t do this when unlocking atleast not from what I’ve noticed.

i replaced the key battery earlier in the year and it changed nothing.

i hope somone might now how you fix this.
