06 1.6 petrol sport estate central locking problem.

Featured Replies

Hi all, Can anyone advise on my C/L problem. Try to unlock from the remote( new 2 months ago) and only the front doors open.

On my car the remote is set so if I press the unlock button once only drivers door unlocks. To unlock all doors I have to press button twice in quick succession. Have you tried that?   If you turn the key in the drivers door lock do all doors unlock?

First of all Isetta really sorry for the delay in replying, forgot that the forum doesn't notify you of replies by email. Anyway, just tried what you suggested re pushing remote "open doors" button twice and they still don't open, but they do open by unlocking with key in drivers door so i,m thinking it,s possibly the solenoid, do you happen to know whereabouts on the car i can find it?

Hello Phil, if the rear doors unlock when you use the key on the drivers door then it can't be a fault with the lock or solenoid.

Have you got the "Child Locks" enabled ?

The Forum does support email notifications of new replies. Did you set the 'Follow topic' switch when you first posted? If not you can still set the thread to be followed for notifications.

Hello unofix, Thanks for your reply. Child locks are disabled, which would only make a difference when trying to open from the inside i think! I,m now being told by the other half (who,s car it is) that the doors never have been a problem😡 (which i know for a fact it was because when she 1st told me about the problem i went and took a look and when opening with the remote the fronts were opening but 1 back door wouldn't open from outside or inside) she,s now saying that it,s the tailgate door that is a problem so i,ve told her to sort it out herself, i,m done with trying to help her and going to lock myself in a dark room somewhere to calm down, thanks again.
