We just purchased a 2007 Ford Focus with about 80,000 miles on it.  My daughter noticed the drivers side floor well area is wet.  Not damp, but soaked.

 

Now, I am no car guru, but I've been reading threads that this might be a "bulkhead" seal leak?  What does that even look like?

    It may be the heater matrix pipe washer has gone and it's coolant in the foot well it's common for the MK2 pre-facelift.

    Last post is an excellent starting point. If your coolant reservoir needs topping up, the heater matrix seal is a top suspect..
