Focus mk4 Window Bounce back

Featured Replies

Hello to everyone,

For second time in 1,5 months the passenger window of my 2019 diesel mk4 focus had the same problem. It bounces back. To be more precise when it reaches at top because of lost of calibration it doesn't stay closed but opens again an stay open. I went again at the dealer and the re program it.

As you can understand this is really unacceptable for new car. Have you to suggest any solution that works for sure?

Option 1 = Turn off 'Bounce Back'

Option 2 = Read the handbook and follow the reset instructions, no need to go to the dealer.

Option 3 = Get a diffrent car

I turned 'bounce back' off some 9 months ago. The window still stops if something gets stuck in it.

Can you give me directions how to turn off bounce back?? As for option 2 I read manual but it didn't help. Manual says close window an keep pressing for some seconds. Problem is that window can't stay fully closed.

That reset procedure is for the 'one-touch' facility. If the window is bouncing back, then try this:-

Select window up , when its bounced back and stopped, immediately select up again.

Repeat and at the third attempt it should ( hopefully ) stay up.

Note there needs to be very little delay between the window stopping moving on the bounce back and selecting up again.

Thanks for sharing. Next time I 'll follow and give feedback!!
