Alarm/Immoboliser

Featured Replies

Hello,

Apologies if this is a daft question, but I have just picked up my F Focus Titanium (2018). How do I check if the alarm and immoboliser have been activated? Do they come on automatically when you lock the door

Also, the passive unlocking system feels a bit unsafe. Is there a way you can bypass that so that you lock/ unlock the door by pressing the button on the fob rather than by approachig the car and touching the sensors on the handle?

Best wishes,

Joe

Yes, the alarm and immobiliser come on automatically when you lock the doors. There are options in the menus (on the screen between the dials) to enable Full Guard (including the internal sensors), Reduced Guard (ignores the internal sensors) or Ask on Exit (let's you choose Full or Reduced after every journey.

There should be an option in the menus to switch off the keyless unlocking.
