Syncing Google Maps to Ford Focus Titanium (2018)

Featured Replies

Hello again.

Apologies if this is also a straightfoward one, but I just picked up my new Ford Focus Titanium and, while I have managed to pair my phone to the car so I can receive phone calls/ get my Spotify I can't seem to be able to sync them so my Google Maps appeas on the screen,

I have downloaded the Android Auto app but am at a bit of a loss as to how to get Google Maps to appear on m y screen. Does anyone have any suggestions

Many thanks,

Joe

Is yours a MK3.5 or Mk4?

Carplay and Auto are only available on the MK4.

2018 is right on the changeover between MK3.5 and MK4.

MK3.5 won't support it afaik.

My 2018 Mk 3.5 supports Carplay when the phone is connected by USB. Perhaps the Sync 3 needs a software update (I am on Sync 3.0 version 20204).

I don't have an Android phone so I can't try Auto.

No reason why you should know as Ford don't badge them as Mk3.5 or Mk4

This is a Mk3.5 also known as a Mk3 facelift:

This is a Mk4

Thanks Paul. I think mine is actually a Mk4, then.
