Ford Focus MK2 (Titanium) - Aerial base

Featured Replies

Howdo! Because I have been using a roofbox for close to two years (Or longer*) I haven't had suitable room for my aerial mast to fit on - So I took it off.

I have since removed the roofbox only to find that the aerial base looks to be defective now. On an inspection (At distance) it looks like the internal chamber has deteriorated. I bought a new aerial mast with connectors, but the base is not taking the thread.

I looked online for how simple it would be to just swap out the base, on the old MK1 Focus' it looked incredibly easy. However (Ominously...) I couldn't find anything on MK2 aerial replacements. I checked the Haynes manual, but even that said "Don't. It's far too involved as you need to remove the headlining".

I did find a video of someone changing the light fixture in the cabin, but it seems that because mine is a Titanium edition, the light fixture looks different also.11111.thumb.JPG.c8d92762ec91b0ee8ec0308e0c5a007a.JPG
