Headlights showing X patterns

Featured Replies

Not experienced this before so just wanted to see what could be causing it?

previously had some h7 bulbs from Halfords in and one blew lastnight, went and bought the same set again & fitted them when we got back lastnight but for some reason there showing like X patterns on the road.

I've checked that they are pushed in / seated / clipped in and they all seem to be snug. Could it just be they need re-aligning again? They feel like they hardly light anything up.

sorry if it's a simple solution, just wondered if it's something I can fix without having to pay someone else to.

That doesn't look like an alignment issue; looks more like the fitting is wrong. I'd take them out completely and refit them. Make sure the tabs are located properly. Could be the retaining ring is holding them firmly but not in the right position.

That happens when you put the bulbs in the loom first then click it in. The correct way is to place the bulb into the hole in the headlight first with the tab at the top then place the holder on top and click it into place.
