LED strip light advice (5ft shed light)

Dont know if anyone can help on this.

I have been given 2 LED strip lights,i know they work as he tried them but i can't get them working.

There ........H-1200-CW-A    24VDC.....7.2V

I have tried the car battery but as that is only 12v it don't work, do i need some sort of converter from house plug into 24vdc if so where do i get one.

    Being LED lights they are polarity conscious so check you have them connected the right way round.

    Two car batteries in series (not parallel) = 24 volts (well, about 25.2v)
