Washer pump and BCM

Featured Replies

There have been quite a few posts recently about the issue of water getting to the BCM via the cables from the poorly designed/made washer pump.

Does anyone know when the revised model of washer pump was fitted to cars from build?

And for anyone who's car is close to that date, how to tell if their pump needs replacing (before they start to see weird electrical problems 😁)

Thanks

I have tried finding out if there is a revised pump but not got an answer yet. If you inspect the wiring plug that goes into the pump you will know it's been leaking and if you remove the minus battery lead and pull the BCM plugs you can inspect the pins for any signs of ingress. Removing the lead is a pain and there is limited space to inspect the BCM but it's manageable.
